MEET ME
I am currently a candidate for a bachelor of arts degree majoring in interior design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I love designing interiors because I believe that if a person will naturally occupy space wherever they go or in whatever they do, the space should be healthy, functional and beautiful. I want to help create spaces for people that enhance their quality of life while also embodying a sense of timelessness and connection to users.
I have experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and project management and I would like to apply those skills, along with the knowledge I’ve gained in interior design, to the built environment.
I love making connections with people, I am a quick learner, I like to try new things and I’m a problem solver. Because of this, I rely heavily on research and strong conceptual ideas in order to create spaces that promote movement, connectivity and the social equilibrium.

ART is anything that is created using one’s mind and physical body. Design is the art of using elements and principals to create with intention. Mixing elements in design is essential to attracting the attention of the viewer; however, the careful thought and detail put into a design is what holds that attention. The visuals of design have a tendency to toil with one’s thoughts and while art is the physical connection to a composition or project, the science behind creating that art allows for provoking a mood, reflection, or awareness on purpose. I believe that more interesting spaces, and works of art, are created when there is a harmonious convergence of bold variety, objective and innovation that purposefully stimulates the mind.

With variety come spontaneity, cleverness and balance that boast successful design. A designer must be in tune with the psychological effects of line, color and form, to say the least, in order to implement a sense of bold variety that is both interesting and timeless. A designer must continuously find the balance between ART and design.
